ZINGA on Vehicles

Various case studies from across the globe have highlighted how Zinga can be highly effective at protecting vehicles, trailers and vehicle parts from rust and corrosion. The include;

1) A cattle truck in Lithgow protected with ZINGA + 2K PU (automotive).

2) The company EMTRADE coated a salt-gritting truck with ZINGA + sealer + 2K PU.

3) ZINGA being to protect suspension components on Lotus sports cars.

4) A new car transporter, coated from factory with ZINGA and 2k PU @ 120 µm DFT. The ZINGA was baked in low-heat ovens at 40°C for 10 minutes and then allowed to cool down and polymerise for 20 minutes and then coated with the 2 K PU paint.

5) In 2002 LAND ROVER (UK) tested using ZINGA together with a matt-black PU Topcoat for chassis finish on new cars. They subjected both systems to the usual salt-spray testing and impact testing for over a year. The results were so incredible that they gave ZINGA the LAND ROVER part number 11001-11002-11010 which is in the international LAND ROVER catalogue worldwide.

Summary

Norwegian truck and trailer manufacturer, Wilco Company has been using ZINGA as basic corrosion protection for their truck and trailer frames for many years. Given Scandinavia’s very cold winters and hot summers, combined with the regular use of road salt in the winter season, their trucks and trailers are subject to prime conditions for corrosion year round.

The first two images shown below were taken in 2018 of a trailer that was coated with ZINGA in 2007. Everywhere that was coated in ZINGA remains in good condition while brackets that weren’t coated in ZINGA have rusted.

The final two images show a trailer frame that was built in late 2010, with these image taken 10 years later in 2020 after the trailer had travelled over 1,000,000km. The visible heavy rusted part were protected with a traditional paint system while the main chassis was protected with ZINGA and remains in perfect condition.

This Wilco trailer was constructed and coated with ZINGA in 2007. 11 years later it remains in great condition, despite the harsh weather conditions its is subjected to on a daily basis.

The chassis remains in great condition with no visible signs of corrosion.

This Wilco trailer was constructed and coated with ZINGA in 2010. 10 years later it remains in great condition, even after having travelled over 1,000,000kms.

The only rusty components after 10 years were those not coated with ZINGA
